SCHAUMBURG, Ill, Oct. 3, 2005 — The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) has named Zurich’s Small Business unit the winner of its 2005 Company Award of Excellence. The annual PIA Company Award of Excellence honors companies for their commitment to PIA, to the American Agency System, and to furthering the interests of and creating a better business environment for professional independent insurance agents.
“The independent agency system is at the very core of our distribution strategy, and we are committed to doing everything we can to improve our agents’ profitability, enhance their bottom line revenue and make it easier for them to do business,” said Ronald Gorman, Chief Operations Officer for Zurich’s Small Business group. “We are very honored to be recognized with the PIA 2005 Company Award of Excellence for our work on behalf of agents, and we look forward to continuing our active involvement with the PIA, on both the national and state levels.”
