Dumping operations

dump truckCoverages offered through our Dumping operations program include Auto Liability, Auto Physical Damage, General Liability and Motor Truck Cargo. Eligible risks include power units and/or trailers equipped with dump bodies, such as end dumps or side dumps, for-hire operations hauling non-hazardous dump commodities in primarily a 0-300 mile radius.


  • Power units and/or trailers equipped with dump bodies such as end dumps or side dumps
  • For-hire operations hauling aggregates, dirt, petroleum contaminated dirt, granular asphalt, or other non-hazardous dump commodities primarily within 0-300 mile radius
  • Minimum of two years verifiable loss history in their own name

Ineligible risks:

  • New ventures
  • Risks hauling ANY amount of hazardous material/waste, coal, coal by-products, or non-petroleum contaminated dirt


  • Nationwide except LA, MS, NJ, and NY.
  • Program Administrator not currently taking new agent appointments in AL,AR,CO,DC,FL,GA,IA,IL,KS,KY,MN,MO,NE,NM,NV,OH,OK,SC,SD,TN,TX,WI

Submission requirements:

  • ACORD applications
  • Commercial auto questionnaire
  • Expiring term plus three prior years of currently valued loss experience
  • Current MVR's for all drivers
  • IFTA's to verify radius eligibility (when federal filing requested)

Coverages offered:

  • Auto Liability
  • Auto Physical Damage
  • General Liability may be available
  • Motor Truck Cargo

Admitted or non-admitted paper:

  • Admitted

Additional program highlights:

  • All drivers must be over 25 years old with two or more years of driving like equipment
  • $500 mandatory Liability deductible applies to this class
The Program Administrator can answer questions about eligibility, coverage, or commissions. They will also be able to provide you with the appropriate forms for a submission. Please Note: Zurich Program Administrators have individual appointment processes. They retain the right to appoint/terminate subproducer relationships. If a Zurich Program Administrator declines to appoint, no alternative Program Administrators can be considered for the class of business.
