This program is available for a variety of classes of business, including YMCAs, YWCAs, JCCs, Boy and Girl Scout organizations, education, health, consumer protection, employment, food, housing daycare, and philanthropy among others.

Target premium of $100,000.

  • Zurich’s Program Administrator offers expedient rating, quoting and binding of Workers' Compensation on a guaranteed cost basis focusing on non-profits in the following targeted classes of business. 
  • We monitor state-by-state Workers' Compensation market conditions carefully, and non-profits in under-performing states must have best in class historic experience to qualify.

Targeted Classes of Business:

  • YMCA, YWCA, JCC
  • Boy and Girl Scout Organizations
  • Education/instruction and related — formal and informal
  • Health — general and rehabilitation, luxury or private facilities only
  • Health — mental health, crisis intervention 
  • Disease/disorder-related health organizations 
  • Consumer protection, legal aid
  • Employment/jobs, employees driving from location to location are ineligible 
  • Food, nutrition, agriculture 
  • Human service and other, including multipurpose (social services) 
  • Daycare 
  • Civil rights, social action, advocacy (no protest organization or civil disobedience) 
  • Community improvement, community capacity building (does not include construction)
  • Philanthropy, volunteerism and grant making foundations (volunteers should be less than staff)
  • Research, planning, science, technology, technical assistance 
  • Public/society benefit

  • In-home healthcare services
  • Nursing homes — skilled or intermediate care
  • Residential care facilities for adults, elderly
  • Residential care facilities for troubled youth, orphanages
  • Abortion clinics
  • Blood banks and donor centers
  • Urgent care facilities
  • Acupuncture centers
  • Weight loss clinics
  • Psychiatric counseling and treatment
  • Homeless shelters
  • Shelters for battered or abused spouses or children
  • Criminal rehabilitation centers and facilities
  • State funded alcohol and drug treatment centers 
  • Public housing and housing authorities
  • Birthing centers
  • Foster care or other child placement services
  • Operations that include boot camps, adventure programs, outward bound or survival programs, or wilderness programs
  • Operations with volunteer workers that exceed employee population 
  • Any organization that is engaged in international travel
  • Live theater
  • Film production
  • Medical detoxification or Methadone treatment
  • Participation in clinical trials
  • Any operation with extensive delivery operations (i.e., Meals on Wheels)
  • Community redevelopment agencies (agencies engaged in home construction/renovation)
  • Equestrian centers

  • Organizations that perform animal rescue operations

  • Nationwide except DE, MA, NY, OR and RI

Submission requirements:

  • Completed ACORD forms
  • Five years of loss runs
  • Experience modification worksheet
  • Supplemental application to be provided by Program Administrator
