Craig Fundum is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Zurich North America. He is a member of the Zurich North America senior management team. As CAO, he is responsible for Human Resources, Strategic Execution, Communications, Community Investment and Employee Engagement. Fundum also chairs the Risk and Control Committee coordinating the Audit, Risk and Compliance organizations for North America. Fundum's insurance career began in 1981 as an underwriter with the Royal Insurance Group. He joined the Zurich organization in 1990 and was appointed president of the Small Business Solutions in 1997. In 1999, he served as chief operating officer for Zurich’s internet exchange. He was also CEO of Strategic Partnerships before being named Zurich North America chief marketing officer in 2003. Fundum was named president of the Programs business in 2005 and became president of Programs & Direct Markets in February 2008. He was the president of Commercial Markets from 2012 until his recent appointment as CAO in January 2017.
Fundum leads the company's volunteerism and charitable giving efforts for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, one of Zurich’s core charities. He also is Chairman of the Zurich Political Action Committee (PAC), and serves on the boards of the Insurance Information Institute and St. Bernard’s Project.
Fundum has a bachelor's degree in marketing and management from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. He has completed several executive management programs, including those at Darden School, College of Insurance, Kellogg School and Wharton School.
