Peter Dion is Line of Business Director-Liability for North America. Peter has 30 years experience in industrial safety, risk management and insurance interfacing with internal and external customers throughout the globe. He is a member of Zurich’s Global Technical Center. Peter has facilitated employee, customer and non-customer liability training programs throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He has consulted onsite with manufacturing firms in China. Peter has published and co-published numerous articles on liability issues, including Product Liability Prevention, Retail Globalization, Endocrine Disruptors, Nanotechnology and Electromagnetic Frequency. He has spoken extensively on strategies for reducing the risk of imported products.
Peter has worked for three large P&C insurers and three manufacturers. In addition, he has an academic and clinical healthcare background. His areas of expertise include manufacturing, healthcare, technology, nanotechnology and emerging risks.
Peter is a graduate of Zurich’s International Risk Engineering Course. He has a B.S. degree from Program in Business & Industry from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. He also attended Northeastern University and Harvard School of Public Health. Peter also holds the Associate Business Continuity Planner (ABCP) designation. He has taken Six Sigma Green Belt training. He is HACCP Certified as well. Peter has consulted with all kinds of companies, including agribusiness, food & beverage, financial, manufacturing, distributors, importers, retailers, hospitality, governmental/defense, institutional, commercial, energy and many others.
