Nina Brody in Glendale, Calif., Brad Brown in San Francisco, and Tom Routson in Philadelphia are the first three regional marketing executives Zurich-American has appointed to work with brokers as part of its new regional office organization.
Altogether, Zurich-American will appoint seven people to work with brokers in its seven key regional city hubs--Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco--to build the Zurich brand in those key locations.
Their primary assignment is to cross-market the full capabilities of the entire Zurich Group, which covers an extensive range of products and services for large national and international customers. They will serve as the focal point for independent agents and brokers in their region to access these capabilities.
Nina Brody
Ms. Nina joined Zurich International-U.S. in 1995 as an account executive where her job was to market a variety of its products and services such as workers comp, general liability, commercial auto as well as global property and casualty and excess casualty. She was also responsible for organizing meetings and presentations with members of the brokerage community.
She's been an active member of the RIMS Los Angeles chapter, the Southern California Insurance Professionals Assn., the American-European Chambers of Commerce, and the Los Angeles World Affairs Group.
Ms. Brody holds a B.S. degree in business administration with a major in marketing from Wayne State University in Michigan. She holds such professional designations as Associate in Risk Management and an Associate in Casualty Underwriting. She completed the MDP program from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1996.
Brad Brown
Mr. Brown previously served as vice president and territorial executive for another Zurich-American division in San Francisco. He joined Zurich-American in 1993 as the manufacturing segment manager for the Commercial Insurance division. On another assignment, he managed the company's national broker relationships, particularly the J&H Partnership and the Sedgwick Food Alliance.
Mr. Brown holds a B.S. degree in mathematics from Randolph-Macon College in Virginia.
Tom Routson
Mr. Routson has been with Zurich since 1992 when he joined during the start-up of Zurich-American Specialties. His first assignment was to establish the Healthcare Risk Management Services unit for Specialties.
In 1994 he began the first marketing department for Specialties. In that assignment, Mr. Routson was responsible for the implementation of the SBU's advertising, sales promotions and event marketing strategies. In 1994 he was named a vice president of the company.
Prior to joining Zurich-American, Mr. Routson was a senior healthcare consultant for AIG and was also a risk manager for a large teaching hospital system in Georgia.
