Washington, D.C., July 12, 1999 - The Political Risk group at Zurich U.S. announced today that Ms. Anne Marie Thurber will join their underwriting staff in a senior position. Ms. Thurber’s responsibilities include securing and underwriting complex political risk insurance in emerging markets.

Ms. Thurber recently held the position of Regional Manager at Multilateral Investment Guarantee (MIGA). Prior to joining MIGA, Ms Thurber was at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) for five years, beginning as an Insurance Officer and then serving as Regional Manager for Europe and Central Asia and then for South America. She has, also, held the position of Operational Auditor with American Cynamid Company and Supervisor for Financial Reporting for Skandia America Group.
Ms. Thurber holds a BS in Science from Louisiana State University, an MBA from Tulane University and an MA in international studies from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
