Zurich U.S. Appoints Three to Healthcare Unit Management Team

Expanded team to track industry trends, provide enhanced service for customers

SCHAUMBURG, IL, April 10, 2000 -- Zurich U.S., one of the nation’s leading commercial property and casualty insurance providers, announced three new appointments to its Healthcare Group’s Executive team located in New York. The appointments strengthen the Healthcare Group’s ability to respond to customer needs by committing dedicated individuals with specific expertise to develop strategies for the evolving health care industry. The Healthcare Group at Zurich U.S. designs customized insurance and risk management solutions to meet the needs of its diverse customers, which range from small physician groups to large institutions.

Sabrina Hart has been promoted to Institutions Profit Center Executive. The Healthcare Group’s regional offices in New York, Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas will report to her and focus on developing innovative insurance and risk management solutions for large health care providers with unique needs. Ms. Hart has extensive experience in healthcare insurance underwriting and brokerage, most recently serving as the Healthcare Group’s Southeastern Regional Manager.

Steve Kalberer joins the Healthcare Group as Group Practice Profit Center Executive. He will focus on developing and expanding the firm’s market presence in small physician groups and allied healthcare lines. Mr. Kalberer brings extensive experience in program development and administration. In his previous position, he was responsible for program management at American International Group.

Debra Wyatt Brown joins the Healthcare Executive team as Assistant Vice President and Underwriting Executive. Ms. Brown will work with the Healthcare Profit Center to enhance the groups’ responsiveness to providing reinsurance and risk management solutions to the evolving needs of healthcare providers. She has an extensive background in developing products and underwriting approaches for healthcare providers with CNA, Continental and American International Group.

Jack Lewkowitz, Administrative Executive, and Mark Wade, Claims Executive, will continue in their current roles within the Healthcare Group’s Executive team.
