SCHAUMBURG, Ill., October 1, 2002 -- Zurich North America has named Nancy Mueller to the position of executive vice president, Corporate Actuarial and Risk Management. She is responsible for all areas of Actuarial at Zurich North America Corporate, including Corporate Actuarial Pricing, Corporate Actuarial Reserving, Risk Management and Internal Audit and Financial Systems Support groups.
Mueller, who is based out of the Schaumburg office, most recently served as senior vice president of Corporate Actuarial at Zurich North America. Throughout her career at Zurich, she has held various actuarial positions providing pricing and reserving support.

"She will be an integral part of the senior management team, bringing years of industry expertise, leadership experience and dedicated service to her new position."
Before joining Zurich in 1992, Mueller held actuarial positions at The St. Paul Companies and American International Group. She holds a bachelor's degree in actuarial science from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
