ST. LOUIS, MO, April 8, 1999 -- Aon Risk Services of Missouri Inc., a $30 million regional brokerage in St. Louis, has named Zurich U.S.* its top insurance carrier for 1998 and the winner of it first Quality Service Award.
After a year-long evaluation of its 10 largest carriers, Aon selected Zurich U.S. on the basis of the company's timeliness, accessibility, accuracy, depth of knowledge, product offerings, partnership effort, loss control, and claims processing. In its evaluation, Aon rated all 10 carriers each quarter and at the end of 1998, and Zurich U.S. earned the highest rating for all of the rating quarters and for the overall year.
Zurich U.S. provides Aon customers with various casualty coverages including general liability, automobile, workers compensation, and umbrella liability products through its Specialties and Enterprise Risk business units.
"We created the Quality Service Award," said Thomas P. Danis, president of Aon Missouri, to recognize and promote the insurance companies that meet or exceed our service standards and to provide important feedback to those companies."
Continuing, Karen Becker, Aon’s senior vice president and marketing manager, added, "The ultimate goal is to strengthen the partnership with our carriers so that, together, we can deliver a higher level of service to our own clients."
Six Zurich U.S. professionals have been invited to represent the company in St. Louis on April 8 for "Zurich Appreciation Day." First on the agenda that day is a St. Louis Cardinals game followed by a formal dinner in the city’s historic Union Station.
Representing Zurich U.S. will be Craig Mangone, Corazon Navarro, Gabriella Tallungan, Colleen Wright and Mitch Feucht of the Chicago and Schaumburg, Ill. offices and Marilyn Keller of the Nashville operation.
"We are pleased to be recognized," said Tom Kaiser, CEO of Enterprise Risk at Zurich U.S., "for doing our job competently and meeting Aon’s expectations. Our goal is to collaborate with our brokers so together we can bring effective solutions to our mutual customers. That is ultimately the best measure of our success."
John Amore, CEO of Specialties at Zurich U.S., added, "Aon’s award is particularly significant to us because of the efforts we’ve made within the company to work together. We’ve had a major push to cross sell and market our capabilities, and it’s encouraging to see what our business units can accomplish together on behalf of our brokers and customers."
Rachel Schneider, Aon vice president of marketing who administered the Quality Service Award program, indicated the competition is expected to be an annual event.
