Chapdelaine named vice president at Zurich U.S.

SCHAUMBURG, IL, May 14, 1999--William Chapdelaine has recently been named vice president and marketing director for the Diversified Products business of Zurich U.S. Chapdelaine will report directly to Rob Fishman, CEO Zurich U.S. Diversified Products, and will be based at Zurich U.S. headquarters in Schaumburg.

In his new role, Chapdelaine will be responsible for the direction and management of marketing resources deemed critical to effectively sell the products and services of the business unit which delivers customized coverage through the organization’s three groups: Property, Zurich Energy Store and Extended Service Programs. He will work closely with Diversified Products profit centers to develop specific marketing strategies for their target markets and to enhance partnerships with customers, producers, and other Zurich BUs.

Chapdelaine joined the Zurich organization in July 1998 as vice president within the Specialties group. Prior to joining Zurich, he was head of the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company’s Executive Portfolio group. He has also held various marketing and underwriting leadership positions with Aetna/Executive Risk and General Reinsurance Corporation.

Chapdelaine received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Bridgeport and his MBA from the University of Connecticut.
