Zurich Innovation World Championship extends the entry deadline

Schaumburg, Ill., October 2, 2018

Zurich Insurance Group’s first ever Zurich Innovation World Championship, which aims to scout and back innovations in mobility, smart homes and buildings, digital health, and financial planning, has extended its deadline.

Startups now have until 11:00 p.m. CET on October 21st to apply via the Championship webpage. Startups can also enter an additional wild card category.

“Responding to popular demand and the quality of submissions, we extended the deadline for entry into the competition,” said Anurag Batta, head of Strategy, Innovation and Business Development for Zurich North America. “We encourage entrepreneurs to go after this opportunity to leverage Zurich’s scale and leadership to take their insurtech service to the next level.”

Winners of the Championship will have the opportunity to pilot their innovation with Zurich's customers. If the pilot proves successful, Zurich will help scale the service across regional or global markets.
