South Region welcomes Stephanie Alviani as Business Development Leader

Zurich’s Marketing, Distribution & Regional Management team is pleased to add Stephanie Alviani as a Business Development Leader in the South region. Stephanie, who joins Zurich from AIG, is focusing on Select Broker and developmental relationships in North Carolina and Tennessee.

At AIG, Stephanie worked nearly 11 years as a senior business development manager in Charlotte, N.C., and Washington, D.C. She also was a territory manager at Travelers Insurance and a broker at Marsh in Washington, D.C.

“The growth potential in Stephanie’s territory is quite significant,” said Andrew Zoller, Vice President – Area Executive for Zurich North America. “We believe her relationships and experience will be beneficial.”

Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and risk management from Temple University. She lives in Raleigh, N.C.

Elsewhere in the South Region, Mississippi relationships now will be handled by Laura Johnston. Alabama relationships will be split between Laura Johnston (city of Mobile) and Tenesha Levett (all others). South Carolina relationships will continue to be nurtured by Susan Van Loan.

Ed Tyburski takes helm of Specialty Health

Ed Tyburski, a 14-year veteran of Zurich North America, has been appointed Head of Specialty Health for Specialty Products’ Accident and Health (A&H) business unit.

The role is a natural next step for Ed, whose management and market-facing experience includes a stint as Head of A&H Sales. More recently, he led A&H sales strategy with a concentration on the new managed care organization (MCO) proposition. Prior to joining Zurich, Ed was a vice president of client relations for North American Benefits Network, a nationally recognized third-party administrator (TPA), and he worked as a health and welfare consultant for Buck Consultants.

“Ed excels in change management,” said Ron Grahf, Head of Specialty Products’ Accident and Health unit. “That is key as we reshape our Medical Stop Loss (MSL) strategy to simplify our structure for our valued brokers and customers.”

From his Cleveland base, Ed will continue to contribute to the Group Specialty Health marketplace and A&H’s growing relationships with its program administrators. Ed is an alumnus of St. Bonaventure University in New York.
