Eric Thomas named Business Development Leader in the Midwest
Eric Thomas is taking on a new role as a Business Development Leader in Zurich’s Midwest Region.
From his Kansas City base, Eric will be responsible for driving broker and distribution strategy for the Kansas and Missouri territory for Marketing, Distribution & Regional Management (MD&RM).
With Zurich since 2013, Eric was most recently on the construction team, where he served as a Senior Account Executive and Team Lead. Eric began his career with CNA as an underwriting trainee and held a variety of underwriting positions in the middle market production underwriting group.
“Eric brings both technical ability and a strong sales acumen to his new position,” said John Cox, Area Executive, Great Lakes. “Our brokers and customers will benefit from that balance.”
Eric says he will emphasize Zurich’s vast underwriting appetite as he talks with brokers.
“We have a strong underwriting team, and I want to help our underwriters be even more successful through a strong sales execution strategy,” Eric said. “I am looking forward to helping them, our brokers and our customers enjoy continued success in the Kansas City and St. Louis territories.”
Eric earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and was designated a Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) in 2013.
