Todd Kaminski named Head of Sales and Distribution for Alternative Markets

Todd Kaminski has been named to the newly created position of Head of Sales and Distribution for Alternative Markets at Zurich North America.

In this new role, Todd will be responsible for sales strategy development; sales training and coaching; and sales talent acquisition, development and retention. He will remain based in Philadelphia and report to Zurich North America CEO Kathleen Savio while she serves as ad interim Head of Alternative Markets.

“I’m excited to take on this new role and work with the Strategic Business unit heads and sales teams to further drive improved results in Alternative Markets,” he said.

Prior to this appointment, Todd was Zurich’s Vice President of Sales Practices for North America, successfully identifying and implementing ways to improve the company’s sales mindset and execution to help achieve growth goals and enhance the customer experience. He began his career at Zurich over 25 years ago as a Direct Markets Account Executive before moving on to several key sales roles, including Head of Sales for Direct Markets. He also helped improve sales results with Zurich UK during a two-year assignment as Vice President of Sales and Distribution.

Todd has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Penn State University, a Certificate of Professional Development in leadership and negotiation from Wharton’s Executive Education program, and a Kellogg Executive Scholar designation from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Ron Beauregard named Head of National Wholesale Distribution for Wholesale & Surplus

Ron Beauregard, an insurance industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience, has been named Head of National Wholesale Distribution for the U.S. Commercial Insurance (USCI) Sales & Distribution team at Zurich North America. He will report to Andy Swenson, Head of Wholesale & Surplus.

“Ron is responsible for developing strong business relationships with wholesale brokers nationally, creating strategic business plans, and ensuring that Zurich delivers on our committed value proposition to the wholesale and surplus lines market,” Andy said. “He also will collaborate with USCI businesses on renewal and new business portfolio strategies.”

Zurich Wholesale & Surplus (ZWS) is a dedicated business segment that provides a broad set of Zurich solutions, including wholesale-only Excess & Surplus (E&S) segments.

“I am excited to join Zurich and cultivate productive relationships in the wholesale distribution marketplace,” Ron said. “I look forward to delivering solutions for distributors and customers that can address the emerging and unique risks in this specialized space.”

Ron comes to Zurich after leadership roles at Beazley, XL, Lexington and Program Brokerage. His professional accomplishments including successfully launching start-ups of XL’s Surplus Lines Property division and Beazley’s Large Commercial Property operation.

He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts.

Sarah Haynes named Regional Vice President of Domestic Casualty for West

Sarah Haynes has been selected as Regional Vice President of Domestic Casualty for Zurich Commercial Insurance in the West Region.

Sarah is accountable for developing and driving the success of Zurich’s Casualty book of business in the region and cultivating broker/customer relationships. She is based in the San Francisco office and reports directly to Valerie Butt, USCI’s Head of Large Casualty.

In announcing the appointment, Butt said, “The team and I look forward to Sarah contributing her large corporate account experience and strong understanding of program structures to help our customers achieve their risk financing goals while protecting their balance sheet.”

Prior to joining Zurich, Sarah worked at Marsh USA San Francisco, leading the Casualty Placement Team for the Pacific Northwest region, where she was responsible for managing trading partner relationships, client advocacy with carriers and resolving complex client needs.

She started her career at AIG Boston in marketing before moving into casualty underwriting at Fremont Compensation. Haynes also worked at ACE Risk Management.
