    C Taylor

    HOST - Chris Taylor - SVP, Head of Healthcare


    Christopher A. Taylor, Head of Healthcare, Commercial Markets for Zurich North America, is responsible for providing insurance and risk management solutions to healthcare facilities throughout the U.S. Chris has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and has held a number of management and leadership positions in underwriting, marketing and sales. He is a frequent speaker at industry functions, including, A.M. Best and Business Insurance. Mr. Taylor has served on several industry boards, including the Maryland Joint Insurance Association and the Maryland Auto Insurance Fund. Chris earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and holds an MBA from Loyola University. In addition, he studied advanced business concepts at both Columbia University and the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.


    Patrick Moylan

    HOST - Patrick Moylan - SVP, Healthcare Professional Liability (HPL) Segment Leader


    Patrick Moylan has worked exclusively healthcare organizations throughout his career, including hospitals, integrated delivery systems, senior care, outpatient and managed care organizations. Patrick is responsible for development and implementation of the HPL business strategy nationally, leading customer engagement and value proposition efforts. Prior to taking on national responsibilities for HPL in May 2015, Patrick served as the East Region Manager for the HPL team. Prior to joining Zurich in 2014, Patrick was with Dubraski & Associates, a national boutique healthcare brokerage firm from 2005 - 2014 serving as Senior Associate and Account Executive. In this role, he was responsible for customer insurance program design, placement strategy, managing all client service deliverables, insurance company knowledge management and supporting company-wide new business development efforts. Patrick also served as Assistant Vice President in the healthcare group for Brown and Brown and as a broker in the Global Placement Healthcare Division of Marsh. Patrick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business.


    Dann Brown

    Dann Brown - Senior Healthcare Risk Consultant


    Dann is a Senior Risk Consultant for Zurich. He is responsible for providing risk engineering services to hospitals, clinics and other healthcare providers in an effort to reduce losses and increase profitability at the facility and system level. He began his healthcare career in 1994 as a registered nurse, later focusing on risk management & patient safety in 2006. Dann’s previous experience includes positions as Director of Risk Management/Patient Safety Officer at Denton Regional Medical Center and at THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano. Dann has a diploma in nursing from Baptist School of Nursing-NW, a Bachelor of Science – Organizational Management from John Brown University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston. Dann is an active member of ASHRM, and a past president of the North Texas Society for Healthcare Risk Management. He holds CPPS, CPHRM and FASHRM designations.


    Gerry Kane

    Gerry Kane - Cybersecurity Segment Director


    Gerry is the Senior Risk Engineering Cyber Security Segment Director for Zurich. He provides recommendations for improving information risk management practices. He has over 30 years of experience in information risk management and security, both as a consultant and corporate practitioner. Much of his experience has been in Big-4 auditing and consulting beginning with Coopers & Lybrand and ending with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Gerry’s primary responsibilities involve teaming with security and privacy underwriters to better evaluate cyber risk conditions of Zurich’s cyber security customers and prospects, primarily in the retail industry. Gerry also provides recommendations for improving information risk management practices. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts.


    Krishna Lynch

    Krishna Lynch - Senior Healthcare Risk Consultant


    Krishna is a Senior Risk Consultant for Zurich, responsible for helping Zurich customers understand and improve their risk profile. She has broad expertise in healthcare risk management, patient safety, human performance training & development, nursing and regulatory compliance. Krishna provides a host of services, which include risk assessments, training and education programs, consultative advice and thought leadership on complex operational and regulatory issues. Krishna’s career spans various leadership roles for healthcare operations including Kaplan Nursing, Vanguard Westlake Hospital, American Hospital Association and Rush University Medical Center. Krishna has a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola University School of Law. She is a registered nurse and a certified professional in healthcare risk management. Krishna holds the designation of Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management (DFASHRM). She is a Past President and Board Member of the Chicagoland Healthcare Risk Management Society. Krishna was profiled in ECRI Institute’s Healthcare Risk Control and Risk Management Reporter, August 2011, as a professional who has left a positive mark on the health care industry.

    William M. Marella, MBA, MMI— Mr. Marella directs operations and analytics for the ECRI Institute Patient Safety Organization (PSO) and the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority (PSA). His articles have appeared in the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Advisory, the Journal of Patient Safety, the Joint Commission Journal of Quality and Patient Safety, Medicare Patient Management, Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality, and others. In previous positions he worked on the management teams of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s National Guideline Clearinghouse (NGC) and the National Quality Measures Clearinghouse, and the AHRQ-sponsored ECRI Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC).


    Elizabeth Moreland

    Elizabeth Moreland - Senior Risk Engineering Consultant


    Elizabeth is a responsible for providing services to healthcare accounts, including health systems, hospitals, long term care facilities, emergency/non-emergency transportation, physician offices and senior living centers for workers’ compensation, auto and general liability insurance. She also serves as the Healthcare Segment Leader for Zurich healthcare casualty consultants. Beth has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas. She has several professional designations, including CSP, CHSP, CHSO, CXLT. Beth has expertise in the development and assessment of programs to address Safe Patient Handling, Bloodborne Pathogen, Workplace Violence and Slip/Trip/Fall programs for healthcare clients. Her prior experience includes work with Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs) and Staffing Companies.


    Ray Rothrock

    Ray Rothrock - Chairman and CEO


    Ray joined RedSeal as CEO in February of 2014. Prior to RedSeal he was a general partner at Venrock, one of RedSeal’s founding investors. At Venrock he invested in 53 companies including over a dozen in cybersecurity including Vuntu, PGP, P-Cube, Imperva, Cloudflare, CTERA and Shape Security. He is on the board of Check Point Software Technology, Ltd., an original Venrock investment and Team8, both TelAviv-based companies. A thought leader in cybersecurity and long time investor in the sector, he was a participant at the White House CyberSecurity Summit held at Stanford University in February of 2015. Ray holds a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University, an MS in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Corporation board.



    Clayton Shoup - Business Director, Workers’ Compensation


    Clayton Shoup is Workers’ Compensation Line of Business Director for Zurich Services Corporation. Shoup has over 35 years’ experience in the areas of industrial hygiene, safety and auditing site and corporate safety and health programs. He provides training on industrial hygiene/safety topics and the management of emerging risks. Clayton has also written and published several articles in the field of employee health and safety. He holds a BA in chemistry from Augustana College and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Benedictine University. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and holds the Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM) designation.


    Mary Steffany

    Mary Steffany - Senior Healthcare Risk Consultant


    Mary is a Senior Risk Consultant for Zurich Healthcare, serving the Northeast Region. In this position she is responsible for working with Zurich insureds to provide consultative education and advice on risk management issues. These include clinical risk assessments, research and in-service educational programs. Mary has worked as compliance manager at Hospital for Joint Diseases and risk manager at NYUMC, both in New York City. As risk manager she had responsibility for loss prevention and reduction efforts, investigation of claims, coordination of claims management with defense counsel, and root cause analyses. Prior to that Mary worked as a risk control coordinator, investigating claims of malpractice in self-insured hospitals. Mary earned a Masters of Nursing from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adelphi University. She has also earned her Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management, Associate Risk Management and FASHRM designations. Mary is President-Elect of ASHRM NY and Chair of the Education Committee.


    Deborah Stubbs

    Deborah Stubbs - Vice President, Management Care

    Summitt Reinsurance Services, Inc.

    Deborah Stubbs is Vice President, Management Care consultant for Summitt Reinsurance Services, Inc. In that role she is Responsible for consultative case management, managed care vendor contracting and monitoring, and evaluation and assessment of potential catastrophic cases. Her experience includes several years managing ambulatory case management for Kaiser Permanente, University of Maryland Medical Centers, and Aetna Healthcare. Deborah received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and a MS in Trauma/Critical Care from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County Baltimore, MD.


     Sue Wedemeyer

    Sue Wedemeyer - Senior Healthcare Risk Consultant


    Sue is a Senior Risk Consultant for Zurich Healthcare, serving the Southeast Region. In this position she is responsible for working with Zurich insureds to provide consultative education and advice on risk management issues. These include clinical assessments, research and in-service educational programs. Sue previously worked at Catholic Health Initiatives as Clinical Manager, Loss Prevention, where she developed and distributed risk management resources to facilities within the healthcare system. She also worked as a Professional Liability Risk Management Advisor and a Field Manager for Farmers Insurance Group, where she was responsible for managing the risk management field staff's consulting activities for Farmer's insured hospitals. Sue has Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from California State University Long Beach. She is an active member of ASHRM and several regional risk ASHRM chapters.
