David Putz is the Head of Alternative Markets for Zurich North America. In this role, he is responsible for delivering insurance solutions to customers through multiple distribution channels, including direct, program administrators, crop agents, captive consultants and brokers. He also establishes the strategic direction and holds profit & loss responsibility for the Direct Markets (Automotive), Programs, Group Captives and Crop businesses.
Prior to his current role, Putz served as the Head of Direct Markets and Programs for North America’s Alternative Markets business unit, where he was responsible for the overall direction and strategic planning for insurance offerings to the automotive industry and for Zurich’s Programs business.
With more than 20 years of experience at Zurich, Putz has served in several key roles, including Vice President of Sales and Distribution, Finance & Insurance (F&I) Specialist, Regional F&I Manager Indiana, Account Executive, Regional Sales Manager Florida, General Manager / Vice President Northern Division, and National Vice President of Sales Eastern Zone. He joined Zurich in 1995.
Putz serves as the Chair for the Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas Chapter Governing Board of Directors. He also is actively involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City and Habitat for Humanity.
Putz holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Ball State University.
