Greg Massey is Head of Programs for Zurich North America’s Alternative Markets business unit. He is responsible for the operational management and strategic planning of the entire Programs business, including Diversified Programs, Catastrophe / Excess & Surplus Programs, Segmented Programs, Construction Programs, Programs Sales and New Programs. He brings more than 35 years of experience to this position.
Prior to his current role, Massey served as Head of the Property and Casualty Line of Business for Zurich North America. He joined Zurich in 2009 as the Head of Field Operations overseeing Integrated Products in the Western U.S. and has held a number of key leadership roles across the organization, including Director of Technical Underwriting for North America and Chief Underwriting Officer for the former Commercial Markets business unit.
Before joining Zurich, Massey started his career as a commercial underwriter for The Hartford Insurance Group and spent several years with Anthem Casualty Insurance Group and Selective Insurance Group.
Massey is active in the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Society at local and national levels and serves on the board of The National Alliance for Insurance and Education & Research’s Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) program. He was also a recipient of Zurich North America’s KAMP Leadership Award in 2017.
Massey holds a Master of Business Administration from the Keller School of Management in Chicago, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver.
