2018 Farm Bill

Mike Day, head of Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) for Zurich North America, expressed appreciation to Congress for its bipartisan efforts to reauthorize the 2018 Farm Bill. The Farm Bill supports farmers and ranchers in producing food for a growing world population.

Zurich has worked diligently to protect crop insurance and private sector delivery throughout the reauthorization process.

The final legislation passed by Congress and awaiting signature from the President, provides affordable risk management solutions for farmers and ranchers, expands opportunities to access crop insurance coverage, and maintains the successful public-private partnership of crop insurance delivery.
