The reality of the Internet of Things (IoT) is that hackers may have new entry points — smart appliances, smart cars, smart factories, etc. — to disrupt lives, businesses and governments. The sheer volume of globally interconnected risks arising from the IoT is incalculable. But the number of everyday objects, computers and cellphones that are connected represents a rising tide of cyber risks.
