David Levinson

Skills and experience

David Levinson is President, CEO and Chief Agent for Zurich Canada, overseeing the governance of the Canadian branch of this global organization. He is a member of the North America Commercial Insurance senior leadership team. In this role, he is also responsible for the direction, management and performance of all aspects of the business in Canada. Levinson has been with Zurich for more than 20 years, holding various senior leadership positions at Zurich North America. Previously, he served as Regional Leader for the West Region in the Commercial Markets unit, where he was responsible for delivering underwriting results, sales execution, and talent management strategies for the Construction, International and Middle Market Commercial Strategic Business Units in the West Region. Prior to joining Zurich, he was a senior manager in Audit Practice at KPMG in the greater New York City area.

Educational background

Levinson earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He also holds a Certified Public Accountant designation.
