Skills and experience

Jason Meador is the Head of Group Captives for Zurich North America’s Alternative Markets business unit. He is responsible for the operational management of our Group Captives business (including member-owned, agency and fronted captives) and ensuring strong relationships with captive consultants and captives boards. Earlier, he was the Chief Operating Officer for Alternative Markets and served as the Head of Strategic Execution for North America. He joined Zurich in 2013 as the Strategy Business Partner supporting the former Commercial Markets business unit and the Technical Underwriting function.

Before joining Zurich, Meador was a Principal with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from 2005 to 2013, where he served Financial Services clients across a range of topics, including strategy development, target operating model design, shared service design and implementation and distribution model development. Before BCG, he was a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. He was stationed at the headquarters for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program in Washington, D.C., where he served from 2000 to 2005.

Educational background

Meador holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science in engineering science from the Naval Postgraduate School and Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Marquette University.
