This two-year program blends paid, on-the-job experience at Zurich with college coursework through one of our higher education partners.
As an apprentice, you receive a full-time salary and benefits, while Zurich covers your tuition and fees toward an associate or bachelor’s degree, depending on your existing college credits. When you successfully complete the program, you are guaranteed job placement at Zurich, giving you a strong launch into the insurance or corporate career you have been working towards.
Our apprenticeships are offered in multiple business areas including underwriting, claims, crop insurance, human resources, IT and communications, so you can explore opportunities that match your interests. You’re supported every step of the way with on-the-job coaches, apprentice alumni advisors, academic coaches and dedicated study time to help you succeed.

In the fall, we begin our recruiting efforts for summer internships for college students and training programs in underwriting, finance and more for college students and graduates. Fall is also when we ramp up recruiting for other early career roles. (Not all positions require a four-year degree.) Currently, yes, domestic business travel is allowed, provided that employees follow the guidance from their Business/Function Head and the requirements set out by the local health officials for the location they’re traveling from and to.
Congratulations on applying! As a candidate you will receive emails and communication from Zurich throughout the hiring process. Some roles may require you to take an assessment. If your qualifications align with the job responsibilities, a recruiter may contact you for an initial phone interview.
Managers select candidates whose skills and experiences best align with the role to participate in virtual interviews with the hiring manager and other key stakeholders. You might be invited to join an in-person interview. If you are selected as a finalist, we may then extend an offer. Prior to your first day, a background check will be required. (All offers are contingent upon successful clearance of third-party background screening.)
