Panelist Bios:

 Alan PaikAlan Paik

Alan Paik is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in workers’ compensation defense throughout California. He began his career at a boutique law firm, representing a variety of employers and insurance carriers. Alan later joined a large, nationwide defense firm, where he advanced to partner and took on responsibility for high-exposure cases while managing his own caseload.  In 2013, Alan joined Zurich as a Trial Attorney in the Los Angeles Staff Legal Office. He was promoted to Associate Managing Attorney in 2019. By 2024, Alan became the Managing Attorney for the Irvine Staff Legal Office, leading a team of 11 attorneys handling workers’ compensation and general liability matters. In 2025, he assumed the role of Managing Attorney for the Los Angeles Office, overseeing the Liability team as well as the Associate Managing Attorneys for the Workers’ Compensation team who manage 12 attorneys.

Kathryn Glass is a seasoned insurance professional specializing in California Worker’s Compensation claims. With a career in insurance that began in July 1989, Kathryn brings decades of expertise in worker’s compensation, litigation, subrogation, and investigation. She has been a valued member of Zurich since January 2006.   Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and maintains professional designations including WCCA and IEA. Licensed in CA Worker’s Compensation, she is dedicated to delivering reliable and effective solutions for her clients.
