Bill Chepulis is the Head of Large Casualty for the National Accounts business in Zurich U.S. and is responsible for the underwriting performance of the $2 billion Large Casualty portfolio. Responsibilities and oversight include the development and execution of underwriting strategy, broker relationship management, customer development and retention, new and renewal transactional execution and the full profit and loss responsibilities of the Large Casualty business.

Before being named Head of Large Casualty, Bill’s previous role was Head of Underwriting for U.S. National Accounts where his focus was ensuring the execution of portfolio insights and underwriting actions, prioritization and development of new products, capabilities and training needs, underwriting quality, transactional pricing and the overall portfolio management of the overall National Accounts portfolio. He has over 24 years of experience in the financial services industry with 24 years specific to insurance. Bill has held several management and leadership positions within the Zurich organization across Finance, Operations and Underwriting.

Bill currently serves on the Board of Directors for Little City Foundation, which is a local non-profit in the Chicago area that serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Educational background

Bill earned his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University and a Master’s in Business Administration from DePaul University, both with a focus in the field of Finance.
