Carl Sutter is the Head of Distribution for U.S. Middle Market for Zurich North America, where he is responsible for the strategic management of the business unit’s distribution model. In this role, he leads the regional teams accountable for the management, development and business planning at the local and regional level for all Zurich North America distribution partners and oversees Marketing for the organization. He is also responsible for championing the Middle Market customer value proposition in collaboration with the Industry Practices team and fostering a sales culture with the Middle Market Commercial field underwriting and Programs Sales teams. Sutter joined Zurich in 2021 from Chubb, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Partnership Services for their third-party administrator (TPA) subsidiary, ESIS, Inc. Previously, he held leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Chubb and ACE USA, including Senior Vice President and National Distribution Leader and Senior Vice President and National Corporate Risk Segment Leader.

Sutter earned his bachelor’s degree from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
