Kara Higginbotham is the Head of Professional Liability and Cyber for Zurich U.S., where she has national responsibility for underwriting, portfolio management, strategic planning, and marketing across Zurich’s cyber and professional liability businesses. In this role, she leads a team of underwriters, managers, operations, and product specialists focused on maintaining a profitable and sustainable portfolio.
Higginbotham joined Zurich in 2018 and has more than 18 years of insurance industry experience. She began her insurance career in 2008 as a Professional Liability and Cyber Underwriter and has held a range of underwriting and product leadership roles, including serving as a Product Manager responsible for underwriting strategy and profitability for Cyber, Media, and Reputational Risk at AIG.
Educational background
Kara earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She also holds the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation.
