RCIS brand refresh represents next chapter, momentum for the future

As the ag industry has continued to evolve, RCIS is focused on delivering long-term risk management solutions while creating an ease of doing business.

RCIS today revealed a new brand connecting the crop insurance provider’s deep legacy with a forward-thinking focus squarely on the needs of its customers. The refreshed brand is RCIS’ first major visual update in more than 15 years with a new logo, colors and a visual identity representing the company’s continued evolution, modernization and momentum for the future. RCIS is the crop insurance business of Zurich U.S.

The new RCIS logo“This refresh is not about changing who we are. It is about better reflecting the company we have become and the work our teams do every day for our agents and the farmers, ranchers and producers we all serve,” said Dalynn Hoch, President of RCIS. “Our customers need a crop insurance provider that is responsive, connected and easy to do business with. This new brand honors that commitment.”

In recent years, RCIS has simplified its processes, aligned its teams into a streamlined regional delivery model and made significant investments in technology to address the evolving and emerging risks facing the ag industry.

Regional expertise, strong agent relationships

RCIS reimagined its customer service approach in 2025 centering on local relationships serving customers through six U.S. regions. Sales & Service, Underwriting and Claims teams were aligned to focus and serve locally. The resulting regional model combines local knowledge and relationships with the consistency and scale of a national crop insurance provider.

“By building a service structure around the way crop insurance is delivered in the field -- through our relationships on the ground, local knowledge and timely support -- our regional teams collaborate better together within their regions because they have a mutual understanding of the crops, the growing conditions and the unique risks in their specific area,” added Hoch. “This move helps us provide service that reflects the needs of our agents and growers within each market.”

Major technology investments

Innovations implemented in recent years have simplified the day-to-day experience through updated processes and tools to make routine interactions easier, improve communication and support responsive claims handling.

Through RCIS precision ag technology, producers can electronically connect field data to RCIS systems for a more seamless, accurate and secure crop insurance reporting experience. These capabilities can use data farmers may already be collecting and use it to reduce manual steps, improve reporting accuracy and create a stronger foundation of information throughout the policy lifecycle.

A mobile communication system keeps policyholders informed through each step of the claims process and provides direct access to their adjusters when questions arise. RCIS also uses drones and satellite imagery to help bring clearer information into the loss process and support more timely, accurate claims decisions.

For agents, a major investment is underway to bring a more integrated service experience connecting core functions including accounting, administration, claims, processing, quoting, training and reporting. “The goal is to reduce friction in routine work so agents can spend more time advising customers and growers can stay focused on their operations,” Hoch explained.

“Agents have told us they value the relationships they have with RCIS – the trust they have in our people and the regional expertise we bring to the field,” Hoch added. “Those priorities are especially important when farmers, ranchers and producers are managing weather, markets and other risks outside their control. It is our responsibility to keep improving the experience around the risk management protection they rely on. This is what our brand refresh is all about.”

Brand design updates will begin appearing across RCIS materials and channels in the coming months.

About RCIS

Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) has been a leading innovator in crop insurance since 1982 after the crop insurance business was privatized by the federal government. Headquartered in Anoka, Minnesota, RCIS is among the top providers of crop insurance in the U.S. and one of only 12 Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs) of the Federal Crop Insurance Program. It is the only AIP to offer coverage in all 50 U.S. states. With a national network of more than 3,700 agents, RCIS provides risk management for 56 million net insurance acres* of farmland.

As the crop insurance business of Zurich U.S., RCIS benefits from Zurich’s global resources, risk expertise and long-term financial commitment to the crop insurance market. Zurich acquired RCIS in 2016, shifting its long-standing position from reinsurer to full owner of an AIP through the Federal Crop Insurance Program. Zurich understands the importance of growers and the agriculture industry to the American economy and has been in the U.S. crop insurance business for more than 20 years.
