Legal system abuse is becoming a major challenge for businesses, insurers, and communities. That’s why Zurich started the Legal System Abuse Coalition in 2022. The goal? Bring together carriers, brokers, civil justice organizations, customers, and trade associations to spread awareness, share insights, and support action.
Working together to address legal system abuse
This Coalition exists to unite stakeholders under one shared mission: to better understand and combat the factors that contribute to legal system abuse. Members meet regularly through an annual in-person Symposium and two virtual meetings. These gatherings focus on discussing new developments, sharing perspectives, and finding ways to collaborate.
Coalition growth and momentum
Our first in-person Symposium was held in Schaumburg in 2022. Since then, the event has been hosted by various carriers, and Zurich will host it again in 2026 in Chicago. What started with 50 people involved in 2022 has now grown to over 700 members in 2026—a testament to its growing impact.
