Underwriting Training Program

If you enjoy building relationships and possess an analytical mindset, Zurich’s Underwriting Training Program offers the opportunity to leverage both skill sets in one of the most critical roles in insurance. This training program provides the tools and instruction to help you evaluate risks for large and multinational companies. You’ll learn to negotiate and determine the prices and terms to cover a variety of risks while building your value.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Actuarial Training Program

If math is your forte, our Actuarial Training Program puts those skills front and center. Develop your capabilities in pricing, reserving, capital management, predictive modeling, large-account pricing and business-unit consulting while working toward passage of actuarial exams. Zurich supports your success by providing study time and incentives for completion. Once through the training program, you could find yourself turning raw data into insights that enable our customers to identify, manage and finance their risks.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, statistics, math or related field
• One or more actuarial exams passed
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Risk Engineering

If you’re safety-minded with an engineering background, consider our Risk Engineering Training Program. Zurich Risk Engineers travel to customer locations to perform risk assessments and advise customers in a wide array of industries, including construction, healthcare, manufacturing and more. This training program blends classroom instruction with structured, on-the-job training at locations across the U.S. Nurture your curiosity and a commitment to customers’ well-being in our Risk Engineering program.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in fire protection, engineering (chemical, civil, mechanical, electrical, industrial) or equivalent program
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Finance

Do you enjoy unlocking the power of numbers to drive results? Consider our Finance Training Program. Trainees rotate through several core disciplines to hone the skills necessary to succeed in Corporate Finance. Rotations include Financial Accounting and Reporting, Planning and Expense Management, Treasury and Tax, Finance Operations, Reinsurance and more. Trainees emerge from the two-year program as financial professionals who foster our growth and ensure our competitive edge — as well as their own.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar field
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
