Zurich North America names Eric Cittadino Head of Programs

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Aug. 31, 2023 Zurich North America today announced Eric Cittadino has been appointed Head of Programs for Zurich North America, effective September 1. Cittadino will succeed Denise Olson, who is retiring following a 20-year career with Zurich.

Cittadino will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of Zurich’s Programs unit and report to Alex Wells, Head of Middle Market for Zurich North America.

“With his strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of the Programs business and 25-plus years of underwriting expertise, Eric is uniquely positioned to drive continued success for the Programs business,” said Wells. “Eric and I embrace this transition as an opportunity to build upon the strong foundation laid by our retiring colleague Denise Olson and drive forward fresh and flexible products and services for niche markets.”

Cittadino most recently served on Zurich’s Programs leadership team as a Strategic Business Unit Leader, providing strategic and operational management to the CAT Excess & Surplus, Industry-Focused and Unique Programs market baskets.

Cittadino joined Zurich in 2000 and served as Construction Regional Vice President for the Midwest territory, where he was responsible for staff management and development; annual planning and premium forecasting; regional profitability and agency management. Prior to his current role, Cittadino served as the Chief of Staff for the former Alternative Markets business unit.

Cittadino holds bachelor’s degrees in both finance and marketing from Western Illinois University.
