Zurich’s Residential Property Flood Insurance program is a customizable private flood insurance product available in select markets. The coverage has been designed, produced and delivered to not only protect your clients’ properties, but to offer the flexibility to tailor coverage to help make each insured property more resilient when impacted by flood perils.

  • Private residential properties
  • 1 to 4 family dwellings (owner or tenant occupied), including residential condominium associations with a maximum of (no more than) 4 units

Ineligible risks:

  • Dwellings located in, on, or over water
  • Barrier island risks
  • Mobile, manufactured, or prefabricated homes
  • Commercial properties
  • Condemned properties
  • Log cabins
  • Dwellings with more than one prior flood claim in the past 10 years
  • Contents only
  • Risks located within 500 feet of coastal water:
    • If frame construction
    • If elevated less than 5′ above sea level
    • If a basement is present

NEW OPTIONAL COVERAGE: To improve a home’s protection from flood loss, this program offers Resiliency protection. After a flood event, this optional coverage allows the homeowner to repair the structure with flood-resistant materials, such as water-resistant drywall and flooring.
